Phase 1.3.1

Next to arrive were the wheels for the back. From the start I had liked the look of some wheels made by an American company called Fuel. They specialise in off-road wheels but I couldn't see what difference that made. I now know that off-road wheels are a bit on the heavy side, 17Kg each on the heavy side !! Not exactly what you need for speed record and Casarva were more than a little concerned the rear hubs would not take the weight.

When I was choosing the wheels the others that were a flip of the coin away were some gorgeous O.Z Racing wheels. They were the far better choice all along and allowed for all the right sizes and measurements.

I received the picture below from Casarva on Valentines Day !

Courtesy of Performance Alloys these are 19X10 O.Z Ultraleggera's fitted with Pirelli P-Zero 295 tyres.

I have also now sent Casarva the side panel and lights for them to commission the bespoke mudguards that will be a massive design piece for the finished trike.
