Sign on the dotted line ...........

I have now become a member of Straightliners and got my ACU race licence. After speaking with Helen at Straightliners, she told me that to enter the records event in September, I would need to attend at least 2 "normal" top speed days.

Straightliners Events calendar.

TOP SPEED
March 20th Elvington TST
April 17th Elvington TST
May 12/13th Pendine Sands Records
May 19/20th Elvington Records
May 19/20th 1/4 Mile Wheelies
June 19th Elvington TST
July 17th Elvington TST
August 18/19 Wheelies & Top Speed
September 15/16th Elvington Records
September 22/23rd Pendine Sands Records
October 16th Elvington TST

The plan is to attend the first event in March, along with Mike Granger from GT motorcycles. Then after the conversion attend the last TST day in July for the first ever full run of the Punisher.
All being well the records weekend in September will be a weekend to remember.

I have also applied to Guinness records to have two new records recognised.

1. The fastest conventional (non-streamliner) trike.
2. The fastest road legal / registered trike.

My thinking is that the current holder of the record, a bike called the Syko could theoretically be classed as non-streamliner. It's a huge drag bike with 2 wheels at the front, a 5 litre V8 in the middle and thumping great drag slick on the back. It may take the first record away but there is no way he's popping down the shops for some milk on that !!
