Since the records weekend The Punisher has been sat in the garage with all the fairing off, waiting for Mike Ellis to come to Plymouth and measure the engine. Mike Ellis is a good friend of Mike Granger and came down for a pre Christmas visit on the 19th. I took the Punisher to GT on the Sunday in the pouring rain and they dropped the engine and removed the head.
I took the afternoon off and met Mike at GT and watched, chatted and drank coffee with him whilst he spent over an hour and a half measuring the bore and stroke of my engine.
This is all to allow me to be ratified with the full ACU records, who demand that all engines have to be measured. Rules are rules but this really was a pain to do as the class I run in is 2000cc and there is no way that my engine could be enlarged to that size.
All I can say is thanks Mike, you are a complete gent and thanks for going to all the effort.
The Punisher is now back together curtesy of GT with just an issue with one of the silencers to sort out. Once that has been done I need to get the Punisher back to Casarva to get the Nitron shocks fitted. I after all this I can find the funds to get the trike sprayed, I will get it in and sorted with Martin at Art Attack here in Plymouth.
It has been an unbelievable year with so many highs, lows and stress points but we have achieved more than we could possibly have hoped for. 9 British records and a Guinness world record is totally amazing or "Officially Amazing" in Guinness speak !
Time now to look forward to 2019 and what we look to do through this year.
